Case Study – Shankill Tennis club

Although Shankill Tennis Club is located in a remote and quiet part of Shankill, it oozes with energy and fun, thereby enticing players of all ages and levels to join. With its new, modern clubhouse and excellent standard of coaching, the club’s membership has been growing fast and steadily over the years with over 700 members.

The story of how Easy Payments Plus first evolved starts here, while Mary Kelly, founder and managing director of EPP, had the role of the club’s financial secretary in 2002. The only option available to members to pay for their membership and coaching fees was by cash or cheque. Mary recalls the chaos and headache involved in writing receipts and manually keeping track of all these payments. Needless to say trying to reconcile these written records with the club’s bank statements was a nightmare. With Mary’s technical and banking background, she decided to implement an online payment solution for the club so that members could pay online and all their transactions would be recorded in electronic reports.

The difference the resulting system (now called Easy Payments plus) made to the club was immense. Paper application forms were now a thing of the past. With EPP, new members register their details online, thereby storing them in a central client database. All financial transactions are recorded in electronic reports which can be viewed instantaneously. EPP proved to be so beneficial to Shankill Tennis Club, that other similar organisations quickly wanted to avail of EPP’s solution.

We get very positive feedback from our members who use EPP to pay their membership and coaching fees online. Step 1

To pay their fees, club members visit Shankill Tennis Club’s website. Here there is a link to EPP to pay online.

Step 2

Members are brought to Shankill Tennis Club’s pages hosted by EPP where they can select the item they wish to pay for.

Step 3

Members can login or register if they have not previously done so. Registration for the first time can be carried out by an administrator and a username and password will be automatically emailed to the member so that they will be able login themselves.

Step 4

Administrators can easily carry out bank reconciliation and generate reports based on payment type. Being a web-based application, administrators who are in voluntary or honorary roles can access the system in their own time from any location.

Step 5

Reports can be generated based on fee type and statistics gathered on the types of memberships and their numbers.

Step 6

The club communicates with members or specific teams or coaching classes using the group text and email facility. This alerts members about events, matches and new coaching sessions that will be commencing and what they need to do.
